An ELP franchise is intended to accomplish several important objectives for Franchisees. In addition to creating an enduring history of local events, Franchisees have to opportunity to: 1. introduce various lines of annually-recurring books to the local community; and, 2. create a diversified stream of revenue for the Publishing Partners. In building franchise value, recurring revenue is the essential component. ELP Franchisees should seek to build relationships with schools and other organizations that can benefit from annually-recurring publications. In such cases, the first year's publication will undoubtedly require a significant amount of sales energy. Future years, however, should not require sales efforts that are as intensive or as time consuming. In the first three months of operation, Publishing Partners are strongly encouraged to introduce themselves and their products to local decision-makers in order to close sales, to create books, and to create revenues. Since many ELP books are "annual" in nature, renewal business can create an ever-growing revenue stream which, in turn, can create value in the ownership of the local franchise. When a Franchise's recurring revenue stream can be clearly demonstrated, the value of that revenue stream can be more easily quantified by perspective purchasers. Obviously, the greater the stream or revenue, the greater the potential for profits, and thus, the greater the potential value of that revenue stream. |
