Perhaps you're a Publishing Partner with an lots of writing experience. If so, you won't need help in creating the local content for your ELP books. But if you need help with typing, proofreading, or editing, the independent contractors listed below can provide the help you need. Here are some guidelines:

1. Contact the service provider by e-mail (they promise to respond quickly).

2. The working agreement is between you and them (these individuals are independent contractors; ELP provides these names as a service to its Publishing Partners, but ELP does not guarantee the quality or nature of the services rendered).

3. Start by contracting for an hour or two of service (to see how you like the service and to build up an ongoing relationship with the service provider.

4. Never send you last copy of anything (if you're asking the service provider to transcribe handwritten materials, make copies of those materials before you mail them . . . we trust the Post Office, but . . . . ).

5. Negotiate a different deal if you like (the suggested pricing structure for each service provider is negotiable, especially if you need lots of hours;

5. Keep up with the money you spend on all independent contractors, including these (its good business and its required by the tax collector).

Amanda Corn: Amanda is talented, hardworking young writer whose editorial and proofreading skills are outstanding. Jim Gallery: Jim is an experienced author and editor. His books have sold over a million copies in the Christian Marketplace. Jim is a former pastor and publisher. Currently, He is the ELP publishing Partner for Williamson County, Tennessee and Bradenton, Florida. He can be reached at jimgallery@comcast.net and his fee $50-per-hour fee is incredibly reasonable for an author with Jim's experience.:
