Grammar Made Easy

Are you a seasoned grammarian? If so, you're probably not viewing this page. But if you're like the rest of us, you struggle from time to time with the subtleties of the English language. If so, it's not too hard to relearn all those grammar lessons that you were taught in school. Here's how:

1. First, get your hands on a copy of Strunk and White's hundred-page classic The Elements of Style. You can read this little book in a few hours, and you should.
2. Get your hands on a good, college-level English textbook (such as the Harbrace College Handbook). Start reading two pages per day, beginning with the section on punctuation. Then, keep reading two pages each day until you learn the English language or stop speaking it, whichever comes first.
