Questions for Educators
Home     About Us    Index

Some or all of these questions may be helpful in interviewing teachers or school administrators. Feel free to use these questions or to modify them as you deem appropriate.

How did you get into the field of education? Where have you taught and for how long?

Tell me about your educational background: where you went to school, what you majored in, favorite courses, etc.

Who are the most influential people in your life?

What educators do you admire most? Why do you admire them?

What are some of the most important lessons that you're trying to teach your students?

What are your hobbies?

Talk about your family.

Discuss the importance of education.

Name some people whom you admire (either from history or from current events).

Name your favorite movies, music, or books.

If you could send a message to the next generation, what would it be?

Note: If the school is sponsored by a religious organization, it may also be appropriate to ask a question such as: "Talk about the role that faith has played in your own life? And what about the role that faith plays in the life of the school?"
